The moka coffee maker project designed by David Chipperfield has two readings: on the one hand it is the contribution of a great author of contemporary design on the theme of the evolution of industrial archetypes; on the other hand it is a tribute paid to Alfonso Bialetti who in the 1930s was the inventor, designer and first manufacturer of the Moka Express, the popular Italian espresso coffee maker.
